Quite an experience to visit these incredibly atmospheric fishing docks in Mumbai. Dating from 1875, the Sassoon docks are the oldest and largest wholesale fish market in Mumbai, and one of the biggest in Asia.
Very early morning, I headed to the docks...no way to get lost, the smell was horrible even hundred meters away.
I was expecting fishy smell once there, but I was not ready for this...The smell was so intense my clothes and shoes stinked for weeks...and even my camera and lenses were still smelling weeks after.
So many boats (at least 60) were unloading tons of fishes and seafood...still, only 3 hours later, all the fish was gone !
(Normally closed to tourist, haven't seen any other one.)

While I was passing by in her street, this woman invited me over to visit inside her tiny house.
